Introduction
Psychology, scientific discipline in the study of human behavior and animal, is a young science. Before the end of the 19th century, the study of "mind" was a discipline practiced as spiritual or philosophical effort. Why psychology is a science, we should expect a continual evolution of psychological theory as well as tweaking and revision of existing theories.
A brief history of psychology

Jung postulated then the reality of two distinct groupings of psychological functions: judging the "rational" functions-feeling and thinking and perceiving functions "irrational"-intuition and sensing.
Jung later stated that the dichotomies are projected in a fashion extrovert or introvert.
An analogy of these dichotomies is seen in the expression of right or left handedness handedness. One develops early in life or is born with it
The Myers-Briggs Type
From Jung's original concepts, Briggs and Myers developed their own theory of psychological type, on which the MBTI is based.
Worked on the MBTI in WWII as a tool to help women in industry zero during the war on the quality of work that would be more satisfied. The first test has evolved in the MBTI in 1962.
Mother Isabel Briggs Myers and Katherine Briggs has started to investigate the personality traits in 1917. Saw personality differences among members of the same family. Criticism of the MBTI is centered on two points of contention. (1) in the decades, the MBTI has sometimes been used inappropriately, as a means of psycho-therapeutic or as an instrument of testing forced within the company environment. (2) Conflicting Studies questioning the validity of the MBTI as a predictor of job satisfaction.
The MBTI is not to be used as an end all and be all in gaining understanding of personality preferences. The same can be said of any instrument of experimentation in the field of psychology. Human behavior is a manifestation of the complex network of biological imperatives, yet rigid psychological identifiable intangible reasons based on moral values, ethics, and spirituality. Use of the MBTI must be kept in perspective, and applied in the context of this complexity.
For many, job satisfaction can be an ideal, a goal that is never fully achieved. Many factors can affect the satisfaction of career in addition to working a job that is complementary to the preferences of a person's personality, including the health of a person's interpersonal relationships and age of the person. A job that is attractive for a period of 20 years might be less fulfilling a period of 40 years.
Conclusion
Use the type indicator, Myers-Briggs as a predictor of career satisfaction is one of a series of tools that can be used by one person to gain perspective on what career can demonstrate that it meets. Similarly, the MBTI is a tool useful and interesting for help understanding how a psychologically navigates through life. Using the MBTI ideally should be combined with other tools and information to help a person to identify fulfilling careers.
